Planned Parenthood - Old Brooklyn Health Center

I went in for iud removal and the office was so clean and the receptionist was so nice and greeted me. latasha took care of me and she was AMAZING. Super gentle, super sweet. I will definitely come back.

I decided to get on birth control due to some health issues & I was having a hard time getting into see a doctor/ob-gyn & I even looked online but I had no luck in getting someone to see me asap.I went in yesterday, 3/19 as a walk in & waited but that day, they were booked with appts & were only seeing people with appts. So I made an appt for the next day (today) & I’m glad I did & kept the appt. The facility itself is very clean & well kept, the nursing staff, front desk all are so nice & understanding. They made me feel welcome. Julia & the student NP who was shadowing her were so understanding & validated all my concerns. We discussed all my available options & I left feeling& understood along with a prescription that was filled later on that day. PP also having MyChart is nice & easy to use. I’m able to message the care team, schedule an appt , & check in online & fill out the paperwork which cuts down on time. Would recommend them to anyone looking for care.

Never have I ever felt more comfortable talking to a health care team than I did at this center. There are some really special and kind people working there and Im so greatful for this resource.

The best experience anyone getting an IUD or any type of preventative care can ask for! Starting out the front beak staff was super helpful and welcoming. They answer any questions you have. All of the care staff were amazing aswell! Super caring and listened to any concerns. Julia was my provider and was so gentle and made my experience so much better than I could’ve ever expected! Loved this location!

I enjoyed my experience here. The facility was clean and comforting. The front desk was welcoming and friendly. Jen the assistant was kind and patient. Nurse practitioner Latasha was also kind and nice but most of all she was gentle!

I was able to seen very quickly for an emergency contraceptive. Literally the next day. The girl from the front was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I had to reschedule but I was able to be seen the next day and leave with what I needed. The medical assistant was very nice. The Nurse Practitioner was amazing. Love love love the staff the care. Planned parenthood usually has a bad reputation but they came thru for me when no one else would so I am extremely appreciative and definitely recommend for whatever you may need!

Everyone was very kind and welcoming, my nurses were informative and very caring, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Professional but very sweet at the same time! You can tell the people here care about what they do and who they care for.

Latasha was sooooo nice and made me feel super comfortable. Sweeter than pie and she kept checking to make sure I was okay during my nexplanon removal and re insertion. Certain people just belong in healthcare. 😇

Staff is always friendly but they have zero respect for your time. Always waiting long past your appointment time and they act like its totally normal and not a big deal when you ask how much longer!

This location was great & will definitely be my go-to for birth control. the waiting room looked new & the nurses were very kind. i recommend!

Went there with insurance because I couldn’t get an appointment with a nearby obgyn within 6 weeks. Charged me $200 and kept canceling my follow up appointments only after I was already in the office. Three times they made me wait, only to tell me to come back in a week. They also didn’t believe me when I said I trust my partner of 6 years and I was just there for unusually painful cramps. By the 3rd cancelled visit, I had an Obgyn appointment in Westlake. They charged me $17 and were 1000x more professional. I’m for planned parenthood but if you have insurance don’t go to planned parenthood it will cost you more and definitely don’t go to this location unless you want to waste your time.

Horrible. They messed up my pap smear twice, and my lab work. I had an appointment at 5:20 and they didnt take me back until 6:30, and didnt do my iud until almost 7. I almost walked out. I thought they resubmitted my lab work but they just called and told me they didnt. They wanted me to come back for a THIRD pap smear. Absolutely not. Im never going back, I rescheduled everything at the Cleveland Clinic.

UPDATE: still have not received prescription after my insurance, pharmacy and me were going back and forth with the office for going on over two months now. The office is not submitting the simple needed information for insurance to cover prescription. Will never return. Or recommend.

The place is great! The girls are super friendly. I do hate customers though, every time I go in there some irresponsible parent lets their kids run around, they listen to music and movies at their own volume or someone is holding a ghetto cussing and disrespectful conversation in front of those bad kids running around and loud enough for everyone else to hear. They should monitor the waiting area more often rather than completely hiding behind their doors.

There are many planned parenthoods in the area. Do not consider this location. Not only are they condescending, they just flat out dont provide care. They just refer you to someone else and waste your time. Theres a reason you can get in quickly.

Everyone that works there was so kind and helpful. Absolutely 0 judgment when you’re answering questions. I wish every doctors office was like planned parenthood.

Everyone was extremely nice! I didnt have a long wait. I was able to make an appointment and be seen the same day. I would definitely recommend this location.

I come here for hormonal replacement therapy and the staff is always so polite if youre trans and thinking of coming here I recommend it. I havent been misgendered or deadnamed once since coming here.

I went in for my appointment for birthcontrol and they had me wait for 25 minutes only to take me back and tell me they couldn’t give it to me because I was too early and to come back in a week.
